Call for Presentation Proposals
WVAGT Home
• WVAGT is seeking proposals for presentations that relate to maximizing potential for students who are gifted and
talented. Some topics we are especially interested in are: Identification and Interpretation, Strategies for working with
Gifted Students, Best Practices in Gifted Education, New Methods for Gifted Education, Underachieving Gifted Students,
Social/Emotional Needs of the Gifted, and Support for the Gifted.
• WVAGT is also seeking proposals for presentations related to academic programs directed toward gifted and
talented students in science, mathematics, languages, humanities and arts, technology, as well as integration of the
content areas.
• This is a chance for teachers of the gifted, as well as students and parents, to share their successful experiences
and ideas. Many WV teachers have developed excellent units and strategies and many students have participated in
successful programs. We encourage you to share your ideas with the rest of us. We welcome and truly value your
participation!
Presentation Criteria:
• Submit proposals by June 3o, 2010 to:

• Sessions will be 60 or 90 minutes long (including question and answer periods)
• Attach a 50-100 word description of session content (suitable for use in conference program)
• Also attach a 50-100 word bio (suitable for use in conference program)
• Identify equipment needs
